A group of students had a very exciting afternoon with the Worcester Warriors recently where ‘Hugby’ was the name of the game!

We have been working for some time with Warriors, who are devising a form of rugby which can be played by people who are visually impaired. Groups of students have visited the Warriors ground at Sixways a few times and have really had in input into the how the game is being developed.

What was even more exciting this time was that Sky TV were also there, filming for their programme ‘Game Changers’! The students trained in groups with the PE staff from NCW and players from the Worcester Warriors whilst the camera rolled!

As if that wasn’t enough – they also had the amazing opportunity to meet head England Rugby coach Eddie Jones! What an honour. It has to be said, however, that the most excited was Mrs Price, who we have never known to be so star-struck!

Well done to everyone involved – it was a long and physical afternoon of training. Watch this space for when the show will be on air! The read more about the programme see www.skysports.com/watch/tv-shows/gamechangers .
What a day! And here is the end result!
