From 28 February to 3 March 2019, Trakai in Lithuania played host to an International Goalball Tournament with countries such as South Korea, Ukraine, Belgium and Great Britain battling it out for the Goalball title!

Student Stuart played for the Men’s U23s Great Britain team – the team’s first time in Trakai. After a number of intense games, GB came in third place and scooped up Bronze. Their last game against Lithuania was won 11:1!

Proud of his achievement, Stuart delighted: “The team played really well, and some games were so close in score. I’m glad we achieved Bronze. It was also a great experience visiting Trakai in Lithuania!”

Coach Faye Dale congratulated: “A clinical performance from GB U23’s taking the bronze medal. Congratulations to everyone for a top 3 days of commitment, following the task and setting the standards. The future is bright”

In addition, former NCW student Kali also played for Women's GB during the tournament, in which the team walked away with Gold! Kali was also named Best Scorer with 15 goals scored.
